Due to presence of soft marine sediments at the sea bed, ground improvement is planned to be implemented for existing made ground fill area at Museum of Islamic Art Park at Doha. Both deep-soil mix and jetgrouting was foreseen as soil improvements alternatives. Due to existing obstacles in made ground, jetgrouting considered to be superior over deep soil mixing. Vertical displacements under loads imposed were estimated using 3D Plaxis model. The resulting total vertical displacement values at five critical points were less than performance criteria of 25 mm. Based on imlemented quality control measures the design compressive strenght of the soilcrete were satisfied. Due to very tight time constraints, implication of offshore jetgrouting were performed both from a special cantilever platform designed for the project and barge.
